Rome-Atrium of a building in the Nomentano quarter

Condominium of Via Balzani
Work in brass and glass by the Sciarra Glassworks, Rome

In the long atrium of a small building of the 1950s it was proposed to restore to the original arrangement a glass door to allow light to filter through to the hall and the interior space of the building. It was composed of uprights in brass and of sanded glass and has retained the original design of the handles in the form of scimitars. The interior space has been decorated by covering the walls with staves and by providing an oval ceiling light in polychrome glass. The peach colour of the walls and the red lacquer of the railings of the staircase complete the work.
