The project was to redesign the long rectangular living room by installing two sets of bookshelves and a small desk. A large curve of elm projects the angle of space formed by the two sections of the bookshelves – one closed by maple doors and dark green uprights , the other vies with angular padding. On the facing side, a structure in a V form in nut supports the maple shelves and the maple and rosewood desk. The opening to the living room is emphasised by a strong green colour on both levels, by a band on the floor and a curve in the brickwork which restates the work carried out.
